Bigger cavities usually mean three to five units, and placement matters more than raw count. The general rule is one 300mm unit per 50–60m² of ceiling area, adjusted for pitch and how much intake venting the eaves provide. Dave works out the exact number from your details before quoting.

Not necessarily, though most people are. Dave will talk through placement before starting, and the job typically takes one to two hours. Access to the roof is all that is strictly needed.

Roleystone is about as far from the coast as Dave works, and it shows up in two ways: summer roof temperatures run higher than on the coastal plain, and the wind is much less dependable. Those are the exact conditions where wind-driven whirlybirds disappoint people.

Salt corrosion is not really a Roleystone problem — you are far enough inland that units generally fail from worn bearings or storm damage rather than rust. That usually means 12–15 years from a quality unit.

This is the honest weak point for wind-driven units in Roleystone. The sea breeze arrives late here, so there is a hot, still window through the middle of the day where a turbine does very little. If that bothers you, a solar vent from $750 runs regardless of wind.
