Whirlybird Installation for Darlington Homes
Whirlybird installation in Darlington 6070, about 21km east of the Perth CBD. Dave's Whirly Birds is owner-operated: Dave quotes the job, Dave does the job, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
At around 30km inland, Darlington gets the least benefit from the Fremantle Doctor of anywhere Dave works. Roof temperatures run higher and the wind is less dependable — the two conditions that most favour a powered solar vent over a turbine.
Housing through Darlington is dominated by a mix of original and rebuilt housing. The housing here spans several decades, so there is no single answer — an original 1960s cottage and a knock-down rebuild next door need different setups on the same street.
What matters is your particular roof: its pitch, its material and colour, and whether the eaves can actually feed air in. That is what the quote form works through before anyone quotes a number.
Most homes in Darlington need 3 whirlybirds, which comes to $950 supplied and installed. The housing changes street to street here, so the final number depends on your roof.

Why Darlington Roofs Usually Want Solar
Darlington is about as far from the coast as Dave works, and it shows up in two ways: summer roof temperatures run higher than on the coastal plain, and the wind is much less dependable. Those are the exact conditions where wind-driven whirlybirds disappoint people.
Solar vents are usually the better buy here. From $750 installed, a solar unit runs whenever there is sun on the panel — which out this way is most of the day, most of the summer — and shifts several times the air a turbine manages.
Whirlybirds still have a place in Darlington as a cheap supplement, or on smaller homes where the ceiling area is modest. What Dave will not do is sell you five turbines for a roof that needs one powered unit.

FAQ
Whirlybird Installation Darlington — Common Questions
From $350 for a single unit supplied and installed. Two units are $650, three are $950, and each unit after that adds $300. Travel to Darlington 6070 is included and there is no call-out fee.
Unit count depends heavily on which vintage your particular house is. The general rule is one 300mm unit per 50–60m² of ceiling area, adjusted for pitch and how much intake venting the eaves provide. Dave works out the exact number from your details before quoting.
Yes — replacements start from $350 per unit. That covers removing the old roof vent, fitting new flashing, installing the new unit and taking the old one away. Most swaps reuse the existing roof penetration, so they take about 30–45 minutes each.
Same-week bookings are usually available in Darlington. Send an enquiry through the form and Dave will confirm the next slot along with a fixed price.
Yes. Darlington is roughly 21km east of the CBD, comfortably inside the area Dave covers, and travel is included in the quoted price — a quote in Darlington costs the same as one anywhere else in the metro.
Not if it is flashed properly. The flashing keeps water out, not the sealant — a unit bedded in silicone will eventually let go. Dave fits new flashing suited to your roof type on every install, which is the difference between a dry ceiling and a callback.
